Behind every great soccer talent there are many hours of work, of sacrifice and also – of course – there are multiple transcendent people.  There are few coaches today who have known and been able to polish so many of the jewels of modern soccer as Joao Tralhao, player of the Atletico de Madrid. This Portuguese coach who is almost 40 years old has been in Benfica’s youth team from 2001 to 2018 and has been an important part of the success of the club’s youth teams.

His abilities and philosophy did not go unnoticed by Thierry Henry, who in his experience at Monaco as a coach wanted to have Joao Tralhao as his assistant. Now, after dominating like no other the formative soccer being part of a generation that has given glory to the Portuguese national team and having reached two finals of the UEFA Youth League, Joao Tralhao fights to take a step forward and assume the direction of a senior club as head coach.

He is a coach of the future and we are sure that in a while we will see him on the bench of the world’s elite as a coach.
